1、 Product Overview
Z4 series DC motor: The center height of 100-355mm is a standard series of small DC motors specified in the Chinese mechanical industry standard JB/T6316-92 "Technical Conditions for Z4 Series DC Motors"; The center height of 400-450mm is an expanded Z4 DC motor beyond the standard series; The center height of 500-710mm is a newly developed medium-sized DC motor in our factory. This series of electric motors can be widely used in various industrial sectors such as metallurgical industry rolling mills, metal cutting machines, papermaking, dyeing and weaving, printing, cement, plastic extrusion machinery, etc.
The Z4 series DC motor has greater advantages than the Z2 and Z3 series. It can not only be powered by DC unit power supply, but also more suitable for static rectification power supply. Moreover, it has a small moment of inertia, good dynamic performance, and can withstand high load change rates. It is particularly suitable for control systems that require smooth speed regulation, high efficiency, automatic speed stabilization, and sensitive response, and has the current international advanced level.
The rating of the electric motor is for continuous operation. In areas with an altitude not exceeding 1000m and an ambient air temperature not exceeding 40 ℃, the electric motor can operate at its rated capacity according to the data in the technical data sheet. This series of motors adopts F-class insulation.
The power range of Z4 series DC motors is from 1.5kW to 840kW, with nine rated speeds of 3000, 1500, 1000, 750, 600, 500, 400, 300, and 200r/min. The excitation method is separate excitation, and the excitation voltage is 180V. In addition to the levels specified above, other power, armature voltage, speed, and excitation voltage values can be derived according to specific situations and user needs.
An electric motor with a rated voltage of 160V, when powered by a single-phase bridge rectifier, generally requires the use of an inductor. The inductance value of the external inductor is indicated on the motor nameplate. Electric motors with a rated voltage of 440V do not require external reactors.
The performance of this series of motors not only meets the national standard GB/T755 "Basic Technical Requirements for Rotating Electrical Machines", but also basically complies with the German VDE0530 standard.
Model meaning: Z4-280-11B, Z represents DC motor, 4 represents 4 series, 280 represents motor center height (mm), the first 1 represents iron core length serial number, the second 1 represents front end cover serial number, 1 represents short end cover, 2 represents long end cover, and B represents compensation winding.
Note: For the Z4-112/2-1 model, the first digit after "/" represents the number of poles, and the second digit represents the length index of the iron core.
2、 Structure Introduction
(1) Basic structure
The Z4 series DC motor adopts an octagonal fully stacked structure, which not only has high space utilization, but also can withstand pulsating current and rapid load current changes when powered by a static rectifier.
The Z4 series DC motor generally does not have a series excitation winding and is suitable for automatic control technology that requires forward and reverse rotation. According to user needs, series excited windings can also be made. Motors with a center height of 100-280mm do not have compensating windings, but motors with a center height of 250mm and 280mm can be made with compensating windings according to specific situations and needs. Motors with a center height of 315-450mm have compensating windings.
The external installation dimensions and technical requirements of the motor with a center height of 500-710mm comply with IEC international standards, and the mechanical dimensional tolerances of the motor comply with ISO international standards.
(2) Cooling method, structure, and installation form
IC06: External ventilation with built-in blower;
ICl7: The cooling air inlet is a pipeline, and the outlet is a louver exhaust;
IC37: Both the inlet and outlet of the cooling air are pipes;
IC611: Fully enclosed with air/air cooler;
ICW37A86: Fully enclosed with air/water cooler.
And there are various derivative forms, such as self ventilated type, axial fan type, enclosed type, air/air cooler type, etc. The required cooling air volume, air pressure, and fan motor power for each seat number motor are shown in Table 1. The basic protection level of the shell of the entire series of motors is IP21S

The installation form of this series of motors complies with the provisions of GB/T997 "Installation Types and Codes of Motor Structures". The installation dimensions of the motors, except for the axial distance of the foot hole (B dimension), all other dimensions comply with IEC standards.
The position of the motor outlet box is considered to be on the right side of the machine base (i.e. the positive box) from the transmission end (not the commutator end). If the user requests that the outlet box be placed on the other side of the machine base, please indicate the reverse box when ordering. The basic output shaft of the electric motor is a single axis extension, and the output direction facing the output box (positive box) is the left output shaft. If the user needs, it can also be made into a dual axis extension. The basic rotation direction of the shaft is counterclockwise when viewed from the commutator end. The transmission mode of the electric motor is elastic coupling connection, which can also be used for a certain radial force transmission mode (belt or gear transmission).
(3) Accessories for electric motors
According to the user's needs, the electric motor can be designed in a structural form that can be equipped with a speed generator, pulse generator, centrifugal switch, brake, etc. Specific requirements can be negotiated with our factory.
Note: The specifications, power, and weak magnetic speed range in the technical data sheet are for reference only. In order to continuously adopt new technologies and materials, the data in the table may change.
3、 Ordering Notice
1. Before placing an order, please refer to the product sample to determine the model, specifications, and other data of the required product. Choose the standard specifications listed in the sample as much as possible. In the order contract, please specify the model, power, voltage, rotation speed, excitation method, excitation voltage, and structural installation form of the motor, such as Z4-180-31 37kW 400V 1000r/min external excitation 180V, horizontal with feet or IMB3.
When there are special requirements for the product, such as dual axis extension, reverse position of the outlet box, and reverse rotation of the shaft, they must be clearly stated in the contract.
3. If the required variety specifications are not listed in this sample, or if there are other special requirements, a contract or trial production agreement shall be signed after mutual consultation and agreement.
4. Except for the shaft extension key of the electric motor, all accessories of various products are not within the scope of supply. If users need accessories or spare parts, such as brushes, brush holders, etc., please indicate the name, specifications, and quantity of the required accessories or spare parts in the contract in advance.
If the usage environment is special and needs to be made into a humid tropical type, please indicate "TH" after the prototype number.
