The principle of WS1504 total phosphorus water quality online automatic monitoring instrument adopts the potassium persulfate oxidation ammonium molybdate spectrophotometric method. Under neutral conditions, potassium persulfate is used to dissolve the water sample to be tested, and all the phosphorus content is oxidized to orthophosphate. In an acidic medium, orthophosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate to form phosphomolybdic acid in the presence of antimony salt. It is immediately reduced by ascorbic acid to form a blue complex, which has maximum absorption at 700nm. The total phosphorus content in the water sample is measured by photoelectric colorimetry according to Lambert Beer's law.
