Description of multi-point temperature measurement

Multi point temperature measurement products are typically used to measure temperature distribution in reactors or fuel depots, or to detect so-called 'hotspots'.

The guide plate structure is the most commonly used design for multi-point temperature measurement products, in which multiple replaceable (if needed) sensor probes are usually distributed along the guide plate line.

In order to achieve fast response time, each individual measuring point is pressed against the inner wall of the sheath by a compressed spring. This sheath can be provided as part of the sensor or as an integrated sheath in the reactor. The connection terminal or temperature transmitter can be placed inside the junction box, which can be assembled with a component of the thermometer, or installed separately on the wall or pipeline.
