The TWS-CC All Sky Imager is an all-weather cloud observation instrument. It adopts technologies in new optics, remote sensing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, signal processing, software, and other fields.
Product Overview
The TWS-CC All Sky Imager is an all-weather cloud observation instrument. It adopts new technologies in optics, remote sensing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, signal processing, software, etc., which are suitable for replacing manual cloud measurement, making observation results objective, observation data continuous, reducing the workload of station observers, and further improving observation quality and efficiency.
The instrument combines the advantages of intuitive data and high spatiotemporal resolution of visible light imaging subsystem technology with the advantages of infrared technology in layered cloud observation and nighttime cloud observation, providing more complete, accurate, and real-time observation data of total and partial cloud cover.
working principle
The TWS-CC all sky imaging system consists of a visible light imaging subsystem (TWS-ASI) and an infrared imaging subsystem (TWS-SIR). The visible light imaging subsystem adopts CCD imaging technology to image the entire sky at regular intervals, and then analyzes the image to obtain the distribution of visible light cloud cover; The infrared imaging subsystem adopts remote sensing technology to invert the temperature data of the entire sky and obtain a pseudo color map of the entire sky. Further analysis is carried out to obtain the distribution of infrared cloud cover, and the cloud cover data of the entire sky is obtained by comprehensively judging the two cloud covers.
