The TRACE 1300 series GC is designed in two different models to meet the complex laboratory requirements. The TRACE 1300 GC is designed for conventional laboratories and provides easy operation for ordinary users. The simplified user interface of 1300 not only enables 24/7 boot up, but also provides good program control for remote users such as Petrochemicals who control through the network.
In larger conventional QA/QC laboratories, 1310 is a better choice. It has a fully touchscreen and user-friendly interface, making it easy to control the instrument directly on the host and save development methods directly. While retaining all the performance advantages of 1300, 1310 also includes multiple auxiliary functions such as localized column boxes, injection ports, detector upgrades, maintenance guides, operation logs, multilingual selection, and video guidance.

IC-SSL module
The new design of IC-SSL injection port can avoid the discrimination between split and non split injection, so more analytical substances gather at the injection port. The newly designed injection port minimizes the harm of thermal conduction to the rubber gasket, reduces gasket loss, and extends gasket life. The special design of the injection port also ensures oxygen free operation, which can ensure accurate injection in high-efficiency mass spectrometry analysis. The flexible design of the injection port structure makes installation simple and fast, and the wide compatibility with standard consumables directly reduces the cost of use. This patented injection port design maximizes convenience in use and maintenance, and even when encountering high viscosity samples, simply replacing the corresponding injection port is easy to handle.
IC-PTV module
The IC-PTV injection port has a unique "non discriminatory" design with a cold column head. Combined with rapid heating and cooling, inert injection chamber, and large volume injection function, this injection port is an excellent choice for trace analysis. The unique design combined with multi-mode selection allows the sample to be fully preserved. Unlike other PTV injection ports that use liquid cooling devices, this PTV injection port adopts a compact thermogravimetric design and is equipped with a strong cooling cycle system. The unique plug-in design makes maintenance convenient and fast.
Backblowing and large volume injection capability
Both IC-SSL and IC-PTV modules can be upgraded to injection ports with blowback systems. This function enables non analytical heavy components or non target components to be blown out of the injection port through the reverse flow of the carrier gas, thereby protecting the chromatographic column and detector, saving analysis time, and improving work efficiency. The blowback function has significant advantages in complex matrix analysis, such as analyzing insecticides in food. Leaving aside the cleaning process of ordinary samples, only residual high boiling point substances entering the chromatographic column and detector can cause damage to the detector, ultimately disrupting system stability. Timely blowback can ensure system stability and shorten the analysis interval time. In addition, large volume injection can also be achieved on IC-SSL and IC-PTV. On standard IC-SSL, the maximum injection without splitting can reach 30 μ L. For volatile samples, this technique has significant advantages in analyzing complex matrices. The PTV large volume solvent split injection can reach 250 μ L, which can greatly improve the instrument sensitivity.
Even in the most complex gas phase and gas quality applications, utilizing a unique fully electronic flow control unit (0.001psi) can ensure excellent retention time. Each injection port and detector is equipped with this micro gas control system, which has the advantages of portability, integration, and precision. The electronic flow control system can be quickly and easily controlled to set pressure and flow rate through software or the host panel, ensuring excellent retention time accuracy and precision. In order to improve analysis accuracy, the IEC unit also supports automatic leak detection and residential evaluation functions. Adding IEC units and flow paths can complete multidimensional application analysis. This configuration, when combined with microfluidic devices, can perform column switching, splitting, or column migration functions under non-destructive vacuum conditions in mass spectrometry.

Mass spectrometry scheme
For other modules of the TRACE 1300 series GC, replacing the injection port or detector does not require tedious disassembly and gas path connection. Now, all work can be completed in just a few minutes, accurately and efficiently. The customization process of GC flow path can be completed in a short period of time to handle the analysis of unknown samples. Both TRACE 1300 and TRACE 1310 GC can be used in conjunction with Thermo mass spectrometry. The connecting components can be located on either side of the GC, which maximizes flexibility, convenience, and user-friendly design. Automatic Sampling and Injection Solutions
To maximize the convenience of liquid injection, Thermo's newly developed AI 1310 automatic sampler and AS 1310 automatic sampler combine flexibility, efficiency, and stability.
Improve productivity - liquid, solid, and gas sampling systems
The AI 1310 automatic sampler contains 8 sample grades. It includes a high-precision automatic sampling system and an easy-to-use Plug&Play design concept, which can meet high standard analysis requirements even for small batch samples. The AI 1310 automatic sampler can be upgraded from an 8-bit sample bottle to a 105 bit sample bottle without the need for tools. The sample bottle rack can be used universally, ensuring maximum stability and versatility.
AS 1310 can achieve dual tower injection and 210 sample bottle positions on the TRACE 1300 series GC. AI/AS 1310 is also specifically designed with a device to prevent the injection needle from being affected by the temperature of the injection port, thereby avoiding low boiling point compounds from completely entering the injection port and chromatographic column. The same applies to manual injection. The installation of the injection needle is also convenient and easy, and the device will automatically recognize it. Simply place the sample and start the GC program, and the entire analysis does not require extra manual operation time. With a simple exchange, the AI/AS 1310 injection system can be installed on both the GC front-end and back-end, and the automatic recognition system will complete the next steps. This series of automatic samplers can be installed on any Thermo GC or GC/MS.
Automatic sampling solution
To meet higher requirements, TriPlus RSH integrates liquid injection, headspace, and solid-phase microextraction, making it the most advanced injection port device in the industry. In single sequence analysis, the automatic sampling system can automatically switch back and forth between injection modes. For example, first the liquid sample, then the headspace sample, and finally the solid-phase microextraction. This injection system can be used by two adjacent Thermo GCs simultaneously, improving laboratory efficiency.
Before injection, a "customized cycle" can be used for control, and it can be directly implemented on GC without occupying more valuable laboratory space. The advanced technology of TriPlus RSH automatic sampler ensures the accuracy and efficiency improvement of experimental results. For the analysis of volatile organic compounds, the injection port can be directly connected to a purge and thermal analysis device, which ensures good quantification of solid, liquid, and gas samples.
