Instrument Overview:

The TR-1800H total nitrogen analyzer can measure the total nitrogen value in water. It is developed and designed based on the US EPA certification method - "Chromogenic Acid Method". The alkaline persulfate digestion process converts all forms of nitrogen into nitrate. Sodium bisulfite added after digestion is used to remove halogen oxidizing substances. Then nitrate reacts with chromogenic acid in a strongly acidic environment to form a yellow complex, and the total nitrogen content in the water sample is determined based on the absorbance of the complex.
