Detection principle:

Under the heating conditions of an acidic water bath, both reducing inorganic substances and oxidizable organic substances in the water can be oxidized by potassium permanganate. The absorbance of potassium permanganate is then measured by spectrophotometry, and the COD value (mg/L) is directly displayed after calculation by a microcomputer chip.
