IIProduct Overview
The TC-LGM Ringman Blackness Meter is an instrument that uses Ringman smoke concentration maps to measure the blackness level of smoke. It shrinks the standard Ringman smoke concentration maps commonly used in various countries onto a piece of glass, compares it with the actual smoke observed from a telescope, and divides it into Ringman series from 0 to 5 based on the percentage of the area occupied by the black bars in the entire color block. Level 0 is all white, Level 5 is all black, Level 1 is black stripes occupying 20% of the entire area, Level 2 accounts for 40%, and so on, to determine the blackness level of the smoke. Its biggest feature is that it can fix a digital camera on the instrument to take photos and record observation results. It has the characteristics of fast, simple, and highly prepared testing, and can be widely used in environmental protection departments and industrial and mining enterprises to determine the blackness of flue gas.

4、 Usage method：
Observation position:
The location for observing smoke should be chosen where the smoke has the highest blackness, and there should be no condensed water vapor present in that area.

When observing, compare the blackness of the smoke emitted from the chimney with the Ringman smoke blackness chart and record the Ringman series of the smoke. The blackness of smoke is between two Ringman levels, which can be estimated to be0.5 or 0.25 Ringman series.
Observation time
The continuous observation of smoke blackness shall not be less than30min， Observe 4 times per minute. Observers should not keep staring at the smoke for observation, but should watch for a few seconds and then stop for a few seconds. Each observation (including viewing and interval time) is about 15 seconds,
Observation conditions
Observation should be conducted during the day; The observer's line of sight should be as perpendicular as possible to the direction of smoke movement; The viewing angle of the exhaust should be kept as low as possible, and overly steep angles should be avoided. Observing smoke should be done under relatively uniform sky lighting, such as in cloudy conditions. Due to the dark background of the sky, a slightly lower level should be taken based on experience when reading.
