Scope of application of steam heated reaction kettle

The steam heated reaction kettle has the characteristics of rapid heating, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, hygiene, no environmental pollution, no need for boiler automatic heating, and easy use. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, rubber, pesticide, dye, medicine, and food to complete processes such as vulcanization, nitration, hydrogenation, alkylation, polymerization, and condensation.

Working principle of steam heating reactor

The working principle of steam heating reaction kettle is to introduce boiler steam into the jacket of the reaction kettle, transfer the heat of the steam into the kettle, and make the materials in the kettle absorb heat for reaction. The steam heats the reaction kettle and uses steam as a heat source for heat exchange. There are three ways of steam heat transfer: jacket heat transfer, coil heat transfer, and semi coil heat transfer. At present, the commonly used reaction kettle heat exchange technology is the half disc steam heat exchange technology, which overcomes the disadvantages of low thermal efficiency and large kettle diameter of traditional heat exchange technology, and reduces the thickness of the inner pot of the reaction kettle, saving manufacturing costs.

Operation of Steam Reactor

1. Before use: The PTFE inner cup needs to be soaked in acid solution (due to experimental requirements) for a period of time to clean the attachments on the surface of the PTFE inner cup; inspect
2. In use: Add the solvent and sample into a PTFE inner cup, ensuring that the addition factor is less than 0.8. Cover and press tightly (even if tightly pressed, there is still a sealing gap of about 1 millimeter at the interface between the PTFE cover and the PTFE cup body), then place the PTFE inner cup into the stainless steel sleeve (the steel pad inside the sleeve is small face down), fit the two steel pads together, and tighten the kettle cover. Generally, there is no need to use a steel rod to assist in tightening, as the hand tightening force of an ordinary gay man is sufficient; Heat the hydrothermal reactor, which has been loaded with reactants and tightened, in an oven. When the temperature reaches 100 ℃, hold it for one hour, then raise it to the desired temperature and hold it for two hours. The heating temperature should not exceed 180 ℃;
Note: Determine different heating temperatures and heating methods based on the technical specifications of different samples.
3. After use: After the reaction is complete, do not immediately unscrew the hydrothermal kettle. After confirming that the temperature inside the kettle is below the boiling point of the reactant solvent, first use a steel rod to unscrew the kettle cover, and then open the kettle cover. After cooling, the outer tank can be easily opened. If it cannot be opened, use a steel rod to assist in opening. At the end of the experiment, it should be cleaned promptly to prevent rusting. Special attention should be paid to cleaning the sealing parts of the kettle body and kettle cover line, and strict precautions should be taken to prevent them from being damaged or bumped.

Attention: When using, it is best not to exceed a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius.

Precautions and protective measures for steam reaction kettle

According to relevant national standards and feedback from our company's customers, most samples can react and dissolve completely between 80 and 140 ℃. Although our company's digestion tank can withstand temperatures up to 200 ℃, we still do not recommend users to use temperatures up to or exceeding 180 ℃. Some insoluble substances can react completely with a longer reaction time. If the temperature is too high, the PTFE inner cup is prone to deformation and sample leakage, which affects the service life. Therefore, we do not recommend using at high temperatures.
The amount of solvent added for the reaction depends on different experiments, generally ranging from 1/3 to 1/5 of the capacity of the inner cup.
If the gas production of the reactants is high, it is recommended to perform cold nitrification overnight, especially when using perchloric acid, hydrogen peroxide, etc!
The solvents used for the reaction are generally mixed acids, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, aqua regia, aqua regia, and other organic solvents. The sample to be reacted is between a few tenths of a gram and two grams. Of course, the solvent used for the reaction, the amount of reaction, the time, and the usage procedure are all determined according to different experimental conditions.
The quality of the oven should be good, and the actual temperature control inside the oven should reach ± 2 ℃. It should be considered that some old-fashioned ovens may have a temperature overshoot of 20 ℃, which is more pronounced at high temperatures
When the oven starts to heat up, no one is allowed in the room to prevent explosion and injury! Only enter after cooling to room temperature, and necessary safety precautions should be taken when taking out the can, such as facial protection, hand protection, respiratory protection, etc.
Incorrect operation, where the operator accidentally installs various components (such as small gaskets), may cause deformation or damage to the inner cup, but there will be no explosion or other issues

Service life and disposal suggestions for steam reaction kettle

Due to the different experimental processes, conditions, and requirements of each unit, such as reactants, amounts of reactants, reaction time, temperature, heating rate, etc., there is currently no strict service life for digestion tanks.
Scrap suggestion:
1. Corrosion; If it is found that most of the inner or outer walls of the steel tank have black hair, yellow color, corroded threaded joints, and rough tightening after multiple uses, it should be scrapped. And carefully inspect the cans from the same batch * *
Attention: Long term use and improper storage may lead to the above phenomena, and should be scrapped
2. Metal fatigue; If the metal lid or gasket is deformed, curled, or has small cracks, the can should be immediately scrapped and carefully inspected for cans from the same batch.
3. Any other user who has reason to believe that it should be scrapped.
