Chinese name: Sodium bisulfite Chinese alias: Sodium bisulfite acid sodium bisulfite sodium bisulfite, sodium bisulfite
trait
White crystalline powder with a sulfur dioxide odor and unpleasant taste. It loses some sulfur dioxide when exposed to air and oxidizes into sulfate. Dissolve in 3.5 parts of cold water, 2 parts of boiling water, and about 70 parts of ethanol, and the aqueous solution is acidic. Melting point decomposition. The relative density is 1.48. Low toxicity, median lethal dose (rat, oral) 2000mg/kg. It is stimulating. Products often contain various proportions of sodium bisulfite (Na2S2O5).

First aid measures
Skin contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing and rinse with plenty of flowing water. Seek medical attention.
Eye contact: Immediately lift the eyelids and thoroughly rinse with plenty of flowing water or saline solution for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Quickly leave the scene and move to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing stops, immediately perform artificial respiration. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water and induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
