Quartz sand filtration is one of the effective methods for removing suspended solids in water, and is an important unit in wastewater deep treatment, wastewater reuse, and water supply treatment. Its function is to further remove pollutants that have already coagulated in water. It achieves the goal of water purification through the interception, sedimentation, and adsorption of filter media.

2、 Scope of application

1. Used for industrial water, domestic water, and municipal water supply systems that require effluent turbidity ≤ 5mg/L to meet drinking water quality standards;

2. Removal of suspended solids and solid substances in industrial wastewater;

3. It can be used as a pretreatment equipment in ion exchange softening and desalination systems, and as a coarse filtration equipment for industrial water supply with low water quality requirements;

And used in swimming pool circulation treatment systems, cooling circulation water purification systems, etc.

5、 Working principle

Quartz sand filters use quartz sand as the filtering medium. This filter material has significant advantages such as high strength, long service life, large treatment flow rate, and stable and reliable effluent quality. The function of quartz sand is mainly to remove suspended solids, colloids, sediment, and rust in water. By using a water pump to increase pressure, the raw water is filtered through a medium to remove suspended solids in the water, thus achieving the purpose of filtration.
