Some pump bodies adopt a dual channel design to reduce radial forces and extend the life of the seal and bearings. The hydraulic design of the impeller adopts the most advanced CFD technology, thus improving the hydraulic efficiency of the S pump. The shaft diameter is thicker and the bearing spacing is shorter, which reduces the deflection of the shaft and extends the life of the mechanical seal and bearings. The pump body and pump cover of the S/SH type open type double suction centrifugal pump form the working chamber of the impeller. There are pipe screw holes for installing vacuum and pressure gauges on the inlet and outlet flanges, and pipe screw holes for discharging water are made at the lower part of the inlet and outlet flanges. The impeller undergoes static balance verification and is fixed with a shaft sleeve and two side shaft sleeve nuts. Its axial position can be adjusted through the shaft sleeve nuts. The axial force of the impeller is balanced by the symmetrical arrangement of its blades, and there may be some residual axial force that is borne by the coaxial end bearings. In order to cool and lubricate the sealing chamber and prevent air leakage into the pump, there is a water seal ring between the packing. The installation height of the water pump, combined with the hydraulic loss of the suction pipeline and its velocity energy, shall not exceed the allowable suction vacuum height value specified in the sample. The basic dimensions should conform to the installation dimensions of the pump unit.
3. Installation sequence:
① Place the water pump on a concrete foundation with embedded anchor bolts, adjust the level by adjusting the wedge-shaped cushion blocks between them, and tighten the anchor bolts appropriately to prevent movement.
② Pour concrete after the foundation and pump base.
③ After the concrete has dried and solidified, tighten the anchor bolts and recheck the levelness of the water pump.
④ Correct the concentricity between the motor shaft and the water pump shaft. Align the two axes in a straight line, with a coaxiality tolerance of 0.1mm on the outer circle of the two axes, and a non-uniformity tolerance of 0.3mm along the circumference of the end face gap (after connecting the inlet and outlet water pipelines and conducting trial operation, they should still meet the above requirements).
⑤ After checking that the direction of rotation of the electric motor is consistent with that of the water pump, install the coupling and connecting column pin.
4. The inlet and outlet water pipelines should be supported by additional brackets and should not be supported by the pump body.
5. The junction surface between the water pump and the pipeline should ensure good air tightness, especially for the inlet pipeline, which must strictly prevent air leakage and there should be no possibility of air accumulation on the device.
If the water pump is installed above the inlet water level, a bottom valve can generally be installed to start the pump. Vacuum water diversion method can also be used.
7. After the water pump and the outlet pipeline, a gate valve and a check valve are generally installed (not required for heads less than 20 meters), with the check valve installed behind the gate valve. The installation method mentioned above refers to water pump units that do not come with a common base.
Install a pump with a common base and adjust the level of the unit using wedge-shaped shims between the base and the concrete foundation. Then pour concrete in between. The installation principles and requirements are the same as those for units without a common base.
