Principles of Measurement
Acidic potassium permanganate oxidation-reduction titration method, determination of oxidation-reduction potential endpoint:
Add a measured amount of potassium permanganate solution and sulfuric acid solution to the sample, mix and digest them. Potassium permanganate oxidizes organic pollutants in the sample, then add a measured amount of sodium oxalate solution to reduce the remaining potassium permanganate, and drip the excess sodium oxalate back with potassium permanganate solution. The titration endpoint is determined by the oxidation-reduction potential, and finally the instrument automatically calculates the permanganate index value.
