Introduction to UWB positioning base station |
The UWB positioning base station VDU2508 is a high-precision positioning base station developed by Shenzhen Weineng Information Technology Co., Ltd. based on the DW1000 chip solution, suitable for outdoor/outdoor environments. It is equipped with a die cast aluminum metal shell and has an IP66 waterproof and dustproof rating, which can be used in various harsh outdoor or outdoor environments.
▲ Positioning accuracy: VDU2508 is used in UWB positioning systems and can achieve a positioning accuracy of<30 centimeters when paired with UWB positioning tags from Micro Energy Information.
▲ Positioning objects: suitable for personnel positioning, material positioning, machinery and equipment positioning, asset positioning management, vehicle positioning, etc.
▲ Positioning scenarios: power plants/substations, judicial institutions such as prisons/detention centers/courts, factory parks, nursing homes, warehouse material positioning, smart construction sites, etc.
▲ Data uplink+downlink: VDU2508 supports both uplink and downlink when transmitting data. It can receive location information broadcasted by UWB positioning tags and issue instructions to UWB tags, thereby achieving functions such as bidirectional alarm and electronic fence.

▲ Installation height: It needs to be at least 2.5 meters above the ground.
▲ Installation method: Supports wall mounted installation on the wall surface, column pole installation, and provides matching fixed installation accessories (U-shaped buckles and L-shaped angle irons), as shown in the following figure.

▲ Precautions: To achieve the best positioning effect, the following precautions should be taken when installing UWB base stations
1) Accurate positioning requires the installation of at least 4 UWB positioning base stations.
2) UWB base stations should be installed with a spacing of no more than 50 meters in unobstructed conditions, and the spacing should be appropriately reduced in obstructed conditions.
3) The installation height of UWB base stations must be higher than the height of the human body (recommended to be around 2.5 meters).
4) The distance between the antenna and the wall should be at least 15 centimeters, and there should be no obstruction around it.
