Bernstein has a glorious history, which is closely related to the historical development of Germany. In the early days, the Bernstein brothers founded a company in Leipzig that produced management systems for small power buildings. After the war, Hans Bernstein, the father of the current chairman, settled in West Germany. In Porta Westfalica, it later developed into a family business - Bernstein, as a manufacturer and distributor of electromechanical components for signal procurement and pre-processing, quickly gained a reputation for itself. The commonly used inductive sensors include variable gap type, variable area type, and screw plug type. In practical applications, these three types of sensors are often made into differential sensors to improve linearity and reduce additional errors caused by electromagnetic attraction.

Bernstein Inductive Sensor Group: A sensor composed of an iron core and a coil that converts changes in linear or angular displacement into changes in coil inductance, also known as an inductive displacement sensor. The number of coil turns and material permeability of sensors like Bernstein are constant, and the change in inductance is caused by changes in the geometric dimensions of the coil magnetic circuit due to displacement input. When the coil is connected to the measurement circuit and the excitation power supply is turned on, a voltage or current output proportional to the displacement input can be obtained.

The application of Bernstein sensors: The Bernstein photoelectric detection method has the advantages of high accuracy, fast response, non-contact, and can measure multiple parameters. The structure of Bernstein sensors is simple and the forms are flexible and diverse. Therefore, Bernstein photoelectric sensors are widely used in detection and control. Photoelectric sensors are key components in various photoelectric detection systems that achieve photoelectric conversion. They are devices that convert optical signals (infrared, visible, and ultraviolet radiation) into electrical signals.

Characteristics of Bernstein sensors:

Bernstein Characteristics Inductive Sensor Features:

1. Wide transient response range and strong harmonic measurement capability
The quality of transient characteristics is an important parameter for determining whether a transformer can be applied in the power system, especially in conjunction with the timing of relay protection actions. Traditional electromagnetic transformers have poor response characteristics to high-frequency signals due to the presence of iron cores, and cannot accurately reflect the transient process on the primary side. The frequency range measured by the photoelectric transformer is mainly determined by the electronic circuit part, and there is no problem of iron core saturation, so it can accurately reflect the transient process on the primary side. Generally, it can be designed up to 0.1 Hz to 1 MHz, and for special cases, it can be designed up to 200 MHz bandpass. The structure of photoelectric sensors can measure harmonics on high-voltage power lines. However, electromagnetic induction transformers are difficult to achieve.
2. Digital interface, strong communication capability
Due to the fact that the photoelectric sensor transmits optical digital signals, it is easy to interface with communication networks and there is no measurement error during the transmission process. With the widespread adoption of microcomputer based protection and control equipment, photoelectric transformers can directly provide digital signals to secondary equipment, eliminating the need for converters and A/D sampling in the original protection device, greatly simplifying secondary equipment, and promoting research on new protection principles.
