This series is designed for detecting explosive gases, toxic gases, or oxygen, with Wheatstone bridge output (OLC100 version) or 4-20mA output (OLCT100). No matter where you apply it, Oldham can provide corresponding solutions, including catalytic combustion, electrochemistry, semiconductors, and toxic gas control versions. These ATEX certified detectors have explosion-proof or intrinsic safety versions. The latest member of this series: infrared sensors, can be used in more harsh environmental conditions, as toxic gases may affect the use of catalytic combustion sensors in these environments. Sensors and electronic components come with a 3-year warranty, and OLCT100 XP-IR will provide reliability and longer service life. Through this new set of detectors, Oldham simplifies its product line and provides products that combine reliability, durability, and ease of use.
The 100 series certified with SIL 2 according to EN 50402 standard is very safe. For example, the probability of failure (PFD) for catalytic versions of combustible gases is 1/418, and for infrared versions it is 1/1887.
