The broadband pumped probe nanosecond transient absorption spectrometer can be matched with various pulse lasers. As a complete turnkey system, EOS is a transient spectroscopic measurement system that is easy to adjust for time windows and has sub nanosecond time resolution. The EOS nanosecond transient spectrometer can be integrated with HELIOS and extended to a femtosecond transient absorption spectrometer.
System features:
Spectral resolution optimized for transient absorption
For transient absorption, due to weak signals, obtaining better signal-to-noise ratio spectral characteristics across the entire spectrum requires better luminous flux. The selection of spectrometer slits requires finding a balance between luminous flux and spectral resolution. Therefore, we configured the spectral resolution to be sufficient to solve practical problems in condensed phase experiments, while allowing sufficient detection light on the detector.

Lower detection light and pump light acting on the sample
The transient spectroscopy system of Ultrafast focuses the probe light on a smaller size, minimizing the laser energy focused on the sample and reducing the degradation of the sample during measurement. This is particularly important for solid-state samples (such as thin films). Especially for samples that cannot be easily converted during the experimental process. In the standard configuration, the waist of the EOS probe beam in the sample is less than 100 µ m. Therefore, the typical excitation energy required is several hundred nJ/pulse. In addition, this beam size allows for the study of small samples.
● Sample rack
The spacious (210mm x 300mm) sample compartment facilitates the installation of low-temperature thermostats and temperature controlled sample racks. In addition, having more space around the sample makes it easier to process the sample.

Meanwhile, EOS provides very user-friendly software features that make complex measurements smarter and more automated:
● Automatic correction of pump light
Computer controlled switching of spectral range (UV/VIS/NIR/SWIR)
● Support computer-controlled translation of sample holder
● Support automatic switching of filter wheels based on light intensity to achieve automatic pump light intensity control
Users can customize the time step, time window, and scanning steps in the software
● Draw a real-time histogram to display the sampling distribution within a time window
Built in algorithm for automatically balancing sampling distribution throughout the entire time window
