Spiral Conveyor Product Description
Spiral conveyors are mainly composed of drive wheels, tension wheels, and flexible traction components, therefore, they are commonly referred to as conveying equipment with flexible traction components. Spiral conveyor is different. It uses a rigid spiral body as the main component to transport materials, and is usually referred to as a conveying equipment with rigid "traction" components
Characteristics of Spiral Conveyor
The structure is simple, the external dimensions are small, the cost is low, the sealing is good, it can achieve multi-point feeding and unloading, and has a stirring and mixing effect on materials. However, its conveying distance is small, the blades and casing are prone to wear, the energy consumption is high, and it has a strong crushing effect on materials. According to its structural characteristics and performance, screw conveyors are commonly used for conveying materials in the production process of grain, oil, and feed processing plants. However, it should be noted that it is not suitable for conveying large blocks, materials with a high content of fibrous impurities, materials with strong abrasion, materials that are easily broken or bonded, in order to avoid blockage and material breakage. According to the installation form, screw conveyors can be divided into fixed and mobile types. According to the conveying direction or working speed, they can be divided into two types: horizontal slow speed and vertical fast speed. In practical engineering, fixed and horizontal slow speed screw conveyors are more commonly used.

Working principle of screw conveyor
Spiral blades are spiral shaped spatial surfaces formed by a straight line rotating and moving in a straight line around an axis simultaneously. So when a screw conveyor transports materials, it uses the linear motion accompanied by the rotation of a fixed screw body to push the materials forward. The material moves forward in a spiral shape, which means that it undergoes rolling motion in the circumferential direction while being conveyed forward.
Application scope of screw conveyor:
Spiral conveyor is the main unit for mechanized transportation in various departments of industry and agriculture, which can reduce labor intensity and improve work efficiency. It has a wide range of applications. Suitable for various industries, such as building materials, chemical industry, power, metallurgy, coal, grain, etc. It is suitable for horizontal or inclined transportation of powdery, granular and small block materials, such as coal, ash, slag, cement, grain, etc., with material temperature less than 200 ℃. Spiral machines are not suitable for conveying materials that are prone to deterioration, high viscosity, and clumping.
