Working principle
2.1 Sensor: The sensor of this instrument is a two electrode sensor, which has a series of advantages that are not present in three electrode sample extraction sensors and diffusion sensors. The electrolyte of the sensor is inactive, similar to the electrolyte in flashlights and nickel cadmium batteries. No need to consider battery damage or acid damage to the instrument. The sensor has a sealed air storage chamber, which not only prolongs its lifespan but also eliminates the possibility of reference electrode contamination, eliminating the disadvantage of three electrode sensors requiring air for operation and making it suitable for anaerobic environments. Sample extraction sensors are highly sensitive detectors, with sensitivity 50-200 times greater than diffusion sensors depending on the type of gas. This is a crucial condition for measuring low concentration gases.

Usage method
1. Check the battery: Before use, it is necessary to check the condition of the rechargeable battery. Set the Function switch to BAT, TEST“A”， If the battery is intact, a value of 100 or higher will be displayed on the LCD display panel (ignoring any decimal points when checking the battery). When fully charged, it can be used continuously for 12 hours. Turn the Function switch to BAT.TEST "B". This position tests the amplifier battery of the analyzer. This set of alkaline batteries supplies power to the sensors and remains in a ready state regardless of whether the analyzer is turned on or off. For safety reasons, it is best to replace the battery before the LCD display drops below 100.
2. Alarm setting: Usually, factories set the alarm at 50% of the full scale, and the alarm can be reset through the following methods.
(1) Set the Function switch to zero (ZERO). Rotate the 'zero' knob to display the required alarm concentration value on the LCD.
(2) Rotate the ALARM SET clockwise until the alarm light flashes. If the alarm value is already active, turn the ALARM SET button counterclockwise until the alarm value stops, then turn it clockwise back to the alarm light just to flash.
3. Instrument zeroing: Instruments often require on-site zeroing before use. Zero point adjustment is performed in the SAMPLE mode, where the gas is filtered into zero gas using a C12 filter in the sampling space.
4. Sampling gas: Set the Function switch to the SAMPLE position to activate the pump and place the analyzer in sampling gas mode. After the instrument stabilizes, it displays the concentration value of formaldehyde gas, with a sampling flow rate of approximately 1 liter per minute.
