-Measurement principle:
HMA-CR6 hexavalent chromium heavy metal analyzer adopts diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometric method as its hexavalent chromium determination method. In acidic solution, hexavalent chromium in water samples reacts with diphenylcarbazide (DPC) to form a purple red compound, which is measured by spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 540nm. Based on the initial color of the sample, which is different from the color after adding the color developer, a colorimeter is used for colorimetric measurement, and the concentration value of hexavalent chromium is finally calculated.
The main methods for determining hexavalent chromium in water include diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectrophotometry, ion chromatography, atomic absorption spectroscopy, etc. The determination of hexavalent chromium in water by diphenylcarbazide spectrophotometric method is widely used by environmental monitors due to its sensitivity and good selectivity.
