I. Overview
The HG-M06 fiber optic multi-channel methane detector module is a new generation methane gas detection instrument developed by our company. It adopts ***** narrowband spectral absorption technology and transmits and measures through optical signals. It has the advantages of low power consumption, high accuracy, fast response, no need for calibration, stable performance, long service life, and long signal transmission distance. Suitable for monitoring methane gas or combustible gas in environments such as cables, urban pipe galleries, and coal mine tunnels.

3.2 Working Principle
This device utilizes the property of the medium absorbing light and causing attenuation of the light to create an absorption type fiber optic methane detection device. This system uses an absorption peak at 1.653um to detect methane concentration. During operation, the light emitted by the instrument's light source is transmitted to the on-site optical fiber methane through a transmission optical cable. When methane gas is present, the light is absorbed in the methane conversion and the intensity changes. It is then sent back to the device's demodulator for demodulation through the same transmission optical cable. By detecting the change in intensity, the methane concentration value on site can be determined.

1. The fiber optic multi-channel methane detector can communicate with the monitoring host through Ethernet cable and RS485;
2. The tail fiber of the fiber optic methane sensor is connected to the single-mode optical fiber in the multi-core main optical cable through a fiber optic splice box, and the methane monitoring signal is transmitted to the LSGJG-M14 fiber optic multi-channel methane detector.
Fix the L-shaped bracket to the cable sidewall using expansion screws, and secure the methane sensor to the bracket using nuts. The sensor is 375px away from the sidewall and 750px away from the top.

3. Communication Protocol
The module communication adopts standard protocols.
VIMaintenance and upkeep
1. Under normal use, the sensor needs to be tested with standard gas every 6 months. During ventilation, the upper computer monitoring software is used to monitor the ventilation for at least three minutes each time. If there is an error in the measurement data, it can be adjusted through coefficient calibration without the need for recalibration.
2. During normal use, it is necessary to regularly sense the mud and ash at the ventilation port of the protective shell to ensure that ambient gases enter the sensor.
3. If you encounter any problems that cannot be solved, please contact the manufacturer and do not disassemble the sensor without authorization.
7、 Storage and transportation
During transportation, the instrument must not be subjected to severe mechanical impact or exposure to sunlight or rain, and must not be inverted, thrown, rolled, or heavily weighted.
The product should be stored in a dry, clean, well ventilated warehouse with an ambient temperature of -40 ℃ to+60 ℃, free from corrosive media, and kept away from sources of fire and heat.
8、 Unpacking and inspection
Refer to the packing list and check whether the packaging box and its contents, information (product quantity, instructions, certificate of conformity, accessories accompanying the box, etc.) are complete. The appearance of the product should be intact and the markings should be complete.
