The FLECK9500 boiler is equipped with a fully automatic water softener and a sodium ion exchanger for cation exchange resin. It consists of a 9500 type control valve, which can simultaneously control two resin tanks (one in use and one backup, alternately regenerating) with a single valve. It can continuously supply softened water. Due to the use of softened water regeneration, the regeneration effect is good and suitable for various water use situations. For systems with large water consumption, multiple units can be operated in parallel.
Working principle: The hardness of water is mainly composed of cations such as calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) ions. When raw water containing hardness ions passes through the resin layer inside the exchanger, calcium and magnesium ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin, while sodium ions are exchanged and released. The water flowing out of the exchanger in this way is softened water with removed hardness ions. When the resin adsorbing calcium and magnesium ions reaches a certain level, the hardness of the effluent increases. At this time, the water softener automatically regenerates the failed resin, using a higher concentration of sodium chloride solution to pass through the failed resin and restore it to sodium type resin. The softened water system is an integrated equipment consisting of resin tanks, salt tanks, and controllers.

Control mode of water softener:
1. Time type: restoration starts at the set time, with a short cycle of one day, suitable for stable water supply systems such as air conditioning systems. It has the characteristics of simple control mode, low cost, and easy operation;
2. Flow type: It starts to restore when the flow reaches the set value and is suitable for all system water supply. This method has high accuracy, stable and reliable water output, and is equipped with a memory function. There is no need to reset the values after a power outage;
3. Microcomputer type: The system consists of 2-3 automatic water softeners combined, fully controlled by computer programs. If equipped with a central controller, remote control can be achieved. The computer can monitor the working status of each water softener at any time through a microprocessor, display and store information, and randomly set working and regeneration conditions. Suitable for water supply systems with high levels of automation.
