Fiber disc filter is a mechanical screening process that allows liquid to pass through a layer of filter material to remove tiny particles suspended in the liquid. The filter material used in the filter is woven from various synthetic materials such as metal and synthetic fibers in different ways, with a filter aperture generally ranging from 10 to 1000um. It is mainly used for deep treatment of municipal sewage treatment plants, filtration of industrial process water, and reuse of reclaimed water. It can replace sand filters and is installed after conventional activated sludge processes, SBR systems, CASS systems, delayed aeration methods, oxidation ditch systems, drip filter systems, and oxidation pond systems. It is mainly used to remove total suspended solids and, combined with the addition of chemicals, can remove some total phosphorus, turbidity, COD, etc.
