Soft connections are specialized soft connections for fans and other exhaust equipment, also known as non-metallic compensators, fabric compensators, and rubber compensators. Due to its scalability and variability, it effectively solves problems such as pipeline thermal compensation, foundation subsidence, installation errors, and seismic isolation and noise reduction in pipeline systems. At the same time, variable diameter soft connections also solve the docking of equipment with different sizes and shapes, playing an immeasurable role in the installation and operation of pipeline systems.

Metal flexible connections are special equipment for pressure pipeline components, and product installation has strict requirements. Therefore, when selecting metal flexible connections, the following points should be noted:
　　1. Select qualified suppliers: Corrugated compensators and expansion joints are special equipment for pressure pipeline components. When selecting, the manufacturer should be recognized as having production qualifications, years of production experience, and product research and development capabilities. Otherwise, once there is a quality issue, the user cannot bear it.
　　2. When purchasing, comprehensive requirements and data for compensators and expansion joint products must be provided to the manufacturer, such as pressure, medium temperature, diameter, required compensation amount, connection method, etc. The manufacturer should reply with product calculation data for compensators and expansion joints according to the user's requirements (such as calculation sheets) and answer customer questions about product installation, design, and other aspects.
　　3. The installation requirements for corrugated compensators are strict, and the installation and use of compensators in user pipelines must be fully planned and designed by qualified design institutes before construction can proceed.
　　4. The installation of the corrugated compensator must pass a pressure test of 1.5 times before it can be used.

Precautions for installation of metal flexible connections
　　1. The installation of metal flexible connections should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the piping construction drawings and compensator installation instructions.
　　2. The pipeline for installing the corrugated compensator must be properly guided and fixed in order for the compensator to function properly. Therefore, the setting of the guiding and fixing brackets must be strictly in accordance with the relevant technical data of the design department. 　　3. The bellows used for compensators are formed from thin-walled stainless steel plates, so during transportation, lifting, and welding, care should be taken not to damage the bellows due to knocking, scratching, arcing, welding spatter, and other reasons.
　　4. Before installation, foreign objects inside the corrugated pipe and pipeline should be removed to ensure the normal movement of the corrugated pipe.
　　5. Compensators with flow requirements should be installed according to the requirements of the medium flow arrow.
　　6. In order to keep the corrugated pipe in good working condition, the deformation of the compensator, including axial, lateral, torsional, etc., should not be used to adjust the installation error of the pipe system during installation.
　　7. After the compensator is installed, all yellow colored transport fixing screws should be removed before the system runs.
