Beacon beacon VDB1611 is a Bluetooth beacon base station with an accelerometer and temperature and humidity sensor launched by Shenzhen Weineng Information Technology Co., Ltd. (95POWER). Its broadcast protocol complies with the Bluetooth BLE broadcast protocol, including iBeacon (Apple) and Eddystone (Google) protocols.

Beacon beacon VDB1611 is usually installed in a suitable location, real-time sampling of temperature, humidity, and acceleration information, and periodically broadcasting to its surrounding environment, so that it can be scanned and collected by other Bluetooth host devices such as Bluetooth gateways for sensor information. Usually, this beacon will not be connected to other BLE host devices, but it can be connected through a mobile app and the broadcast parameters of the beacon can be modified.

1Introduction to internal modules of Beacon VDB1611

The Beacon beacon VDB1611 is based on the Nordic nRF52832 chip platform and is equipped with a 3-axis acceleration sensor and a temperature and humidity sensor, which can broadcast the motion status and temperature and humidity information.

VDB1611 is powered by two No. 5 batteries (Nanfu Excell industrial equipment) connected in series for easy battery replacement. In addition, in terms of interfaces, the PCB board inside beacon VDB1611 has switches for saving power, programming ports for debugging, and a pair of UART serial ports.

Note:

(1) Beacon power consumption data is for reference only. When the calculated lifespan exceeds the battery lifespan (5 years), the battery lifespan shall prevail;

(2) The accelerometer works in interrupt mode by default (it will give an interrupt after movement), and is considered to have entered a stationary state after the last 10 seconds of movement;

(3) The default sampling frequency for temperature and humidity is once per minute.

(95POWER) has developed a mobile app for configuring parameters for our company's series of iBeacon beacon base stations, including both Android and Apple IOS versions. The name of the new version of the mobile app is "Skylab_xbeacon". Currently, the new version of the app has not been launched yet. Please contact the sales staff to provide it.

Skylab-xBeacon can be used to configure device parameters for VDB1611. Using this app to connect VDB1611, you can modify its broadcast frequency, power, UUID, Major, Minor, device name, and other parameters. When VDB1611 is in broadcast mode, these parameters will be broadcasted. On the software, the parameters corresponding to the ibeacon and Eddystone modes can be modified separately, as shown below.
