YS-2499S Dual Channel Pulse RF Power Meter Detailed Introduction
1. Overview
YS-2499S dual channel microwave power meter is a dual channel pulse RF power meter. The YS-2499S dual channel pulse RF power meter can measure the incident power and reflected power of two channels separately through an external device, thereby obtaining the corresponding standing wave ratio and reflection coefficient. YS-2499S dual channel pulse power meter is used for standing wave ratio monitoring of various microwave high-power systems. The YS-2499S dual channel pulse power meter can also measure continuous wave microwave power and can be used in factories and laboratories.

4. Working principle
4.1 Whole machine block diagram (see Figure 2)
4.2 Principles of each unit circuit
a. Channel circuit (channel A and channel B)
The channel circuit consists of a channel coaxial switch, a peak power sensing circuit, a preamplifier, and a channel signal processing circuit. The channel coaxial switch is used to switch between the reference power and the measured power, allowing the instrument to perform calibration operations in continuous operation. The peak power sensing circuit is composed of a detection diode amplification circuit. It is used to sense microwave power and convert it into corresponding electrical signals, which are provided to the subsequent circuit. The preamplifier further processes the information sent by the sensing circuit. The channel signal processing circuit sends the quantized analog information to the microprocessor for data processing.
b. Processing CPU circuits
The control CPU is mainly responsible for processing and computing the information sent by the channel circuit. And continuously transmit the processed data to the panel CPU through internal communication lines.
c. Panel CPU circuit
The panel CPU is mainly responsible for managing the user interface. The user interface mainly includes a front panel keyboard, LCD display, and remote control interface (such as RS232 or GPIB). The panel CPU obtains the measured linear data from the control CPU and displays it according to the user's requirements obtained from the keyboard, such as linear mode (such as W, mW, etc.), logarithmic mode (dBm), or directly displaying standing wave ratio, reflection coefficient, etc. Therefore, the panel CPU also requires a lot of mathematical processing. The remote control interface is actually an extension of the front panel, so it is more reasonable to attribute this part to the panel CPU processing.
d. RS232 serial interface
The instrument provides an RS232 serial interface. When the instrument is in remote control mode, its operation can be controlled by a computer.
5. Structural features
YS2499Dual channel microwaveThe external dimensions of the indicator part of the power meter are 220mm × 99mm × 350mm (b × h × d), and the display part of the instrument is an LCD liquid crystal display screen. The front panel buttons are made of conductive rubber technology, and their control methods are all operated through button menu. The main control board adopts a motherboard structure, which is connected to the channel board through slots in a bus way, forming a structure that is easy to maintain and produce. The channel circuit adopts an electrical shielding structure to reduce the interference of stray electromagnetic fields. The rear panel of the instrument is equipped with an input socket for the power supply and an RS232 interface.
