The power transmission between small diesel engines and operating machinery, as well as the power transmission of water pumps or fans on diesel engines, are all connected by triangular tape. Triangle tape should not be too tight or too loose. Tightness can cause excessive radial load on the shaft, leading to bearing heating and damage. It can also accelerate the wear of the tape and reduce its service life; Being too loose can easily cause the belt to slip, reduce transmission efficiency, and also cause damage to the tape. Therefore, when replacing and installing the transmission tape or conducting daily technical maintenance, the tension of the transmission tape should be checked and adjusted.
The adjustment method for the tension of the adhesive tape of a small diesel engine should be determined according to the matching working machine. Generally, when it is matched with a small four-wheel tractor, hand-held tractor, or rice transplanter, the adjustment method is the same. Generally, it is to loosen the four body fastening nuts, move the diesel engine, and wait for the tension of the triangular adhesive tape to be appropriate before tightening the body nuts.
The method for adjusting the tape tension of a diesel engine with a generator and fan is to loosen the generator fastening nut on the generator bracket and the adjustment screw on the generator adjustment bracket, move the generator adjustment bracket, and wait for the triangular tape tension to be appropriate before tightening the generator fastening nut and adjustment screw.
Common troubleshooting methods:
The natural wear and abnormal wear of diesel engine components, deformation, damage, rust, and looseness of parts will all damage the good technical condition of the diesel engine. When the technical condition deteriorates to a certain extent, the power of the diesel engine will decrease, and it may even fail to work, which is called a malfunction. Timely troubleshooting of diesel engine faults is necessary to ensure its normal operation.
Troubleshooting requires careful observation and analysis, and should not be blindly dismantled or disassembled.
Difficulty or inability to start diesel engine:
Difficulty or inability to start a diesel engine is mainly due to cold weather, insufficient diesel supply, or poor fuel quality, which can cause atomization, poor combustion, and even prevent spontaneous combustion.
Storage of small diesel engines:
Small diesel engines are machines used seasonally. When the diesel engine is parked for a long time without use, it should be sealed to prevent rusting and damage to the components. Clean the oil sludge and dust on the outer surface of the diesel engine before sealing. After the diesel engine is shut down, drain the engine oil while the oil temperature is high. Turn on the drain switch and drain the cooling water completely. Drain the diesel, remove the fuel tank, clean the fuel tank and refueling filter, and then install it firmly.
