The CNC double end face grinder refers to a CNC grinder with two upper and lower grinding wheels that can simultaneously perform precision grinding on two parallel end faces of workpieces. It can perform precision machining on small shafts, pumps, hydraulic components, mobile phone covers, hard alloy blades, and other workpieces. However, for disc and sheet workpieces, deformation is prone to occur during grinding, making it very difficult to process. Moreover, ordinary double end grinding machines cannot achieve a machining accuracy of 0.002mm. So what grinder should be used for double end machining of high-precision thin sheet workpieces?
Haimer has specially developed a CNC double end grinder for grinding thin films based on customer needs, which can solve the grinding problems of thin films and high-precision discs. The substrate is HRC40 alloy steel with a thickness of 2.8mm, which requires double end grinding processing. The parallelism and flatness must reach 0.002mm, and the surface smoothness must reach Ra0.4 μ m. Currently, domestic machine tools cannot meet such high processing requirements.
