The opening and closing component of the umbrella gear globe valve is a plug shaped valve disc, with a flat or conical sealing surface. The valve disc moves linearly along the centerline of the fluid. The movement form of the valve stem includes a lifting rod type (the valve stem is lifted and lowered without the handwheel lifting), as well as a lifting rotating rod type (the handwheel rotates and lifts together with the valve stem, and the nut is set on the valve body). Globe valves are only suitable for fully open and fully closed, and are not allowed to be adjusted or throttled.

American standard globe valves mainly have API and ASME standards. ASTM is a material standard, not a standard for the valve itself; Globe valves designed, manufactured, produced, and tested according to American standards are called American standard globe valves. American standard globe valve and flange globe valve belong to the same type of valve. The closing element is a valve disc, and the valve stem rotates around the centerline of the valve body to achieve opening and closing.

3. Tight and reliable, plastic is widely used as the sealing surface material for gate valves with good sealing performance, and it has also been widely used in vacuum systems.

4. Easy to operate, quick opening and closing, only need to rotate 90 ° from fully open to fully closed, making it convenient for remote control.

5. Easy to maintain, the gate valve structure is simple, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient.

6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium, and when the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the valve sealing surface.

7. Widely applicable, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, suitable for applications from high vacuum to high pressure. When the ball rotates 90 degrees, it should appear spherical at both the inlet and outlet to intercept the flow.
