1、 Product Structure:

A plate heat exchanger is composed of a set of corrugated metal plates with holes on the plates for the two liquids to pass through for heat transfer. The metal sheet is installed in a frame with a fixed plate and a movable clamping plate on one side, and clamped with clamping bolts. The plate is equipped with sealing gaskets to seal the fluid channels and guide the fluid to flow alternately into their respective channels. The flow rate, physical properties, pressure drop, and temperature difference of the fluid determine the number and size of the plates. The corrugated plate not only increases the turbulence velocity, but also forms many support points, which are sufficient to withstand the pressure difference between the media.

The metal plate and the movable clamping plate are suspended on the upper support rod and positioned by the lower guide rod, while the rod is fixed on the support column when it breaks. However, if one or both liquids pass through the heat exchanger more than once, the excuse should be on the fixed plate and the movable clamping plate.

2、 Product advantages

1. Adhesive gasket: Alfa Laval uses two combinations of vulcanized epoxy adhesive gaskets to permanently and firmly adhere the gasket to the gasket groove. When the heat exchanger is opened, the gasket will not fall off. However, other manufacturers do not use vulcanized adhesive, and some even do not use a combination of two types of adhesive, which cannot guarantee firm bonding. When opening the heat exchanger, the gasket often falls off and has to be replaced.

2. Diversion area: Another feature of Alfa Laval's advanced plate design is the design of the diversion area, which is also one of Alfa Laval's many patents. For the convenience of configuring connections, modern plate heat exchangers use single-sided inlet and outlet connections. To fully utilize the entire heat exchange area, it is necessary to ensure that the fluid is evenly distributed throughout the entire plate. Alfa Laval's unique flow zone design ensures uniform distribution even on the widest plate surface. Another significant feature is the lower pressure drop, which allows for more economical use of pressure drop for heat transfer, thereby achieving the highest heat transfer coefficient. Due to the lack of a good flow guide area, other manufacturers need to use diagonal flow to distribute fluid to the entire plate surface. The diagonal plate structure will make the piping complex, requiring two different types of plates and gaskets, which brings extreme inconvenience to maintenance.

3. Adhesive free gasket: Clip on gasket is an Alfa Laval super adhesive free system, characterized by convenient and quick on-site replacement of gaskets. Clip on gasket is connected to the edge of the board through two forks, ensuring that the gasket is neatly positioned along the adhesive groove. In the design of Alfa Laval's non stick system, the sealing function and locking function are separated: if the rubber fork is removed here, it will not affect the sealing.

4. Advanced framework technology: Superior clamping bolt system. Alfa Laval has designed a unique and superior clamping bolt system for the convenience of disassembling and assembling heat exchangers, which consists of the following systems:

a. The bearing box ensures that the bolts are well seated and easy to tighten. b. Anti slip washers prevent bolts from rotating when tightened.

5. Five point metal positioning system:

This system is used for heat exchangers with corner hole diameters above 140mm. The positioning of the plate is determined by five points of metal to metal contact. The three points of the upper support rod prevent the plate from moving up and down, and the two points of the lower support rod prevent the plate from moving left and right. Using five point positioning, the plate group can move forward and backward on the support rod without resistance. The gasket seal is accurate and not inferior at all, and the gasket life is also more durable. This is the unique design of Alfa Laval.

2. Material of gasket:

Many elastic materials can be used to make sealing gaskets:

Nitrile rubber (NBR) and fluororubber (FPM or VITON)

Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) chloroprene rubber (NEPORENE)

Polyvinyl chloride (CSM)

Other materials can be determined according to user needs.
