4K (UHD TV) Resolution Test Picture Card
Brand: ESSER Aisha/Sine Image Model: TE279D Size: 280 x 157.5mm Scale: 16:9 Type: Translucent
Product details

The TE279 resolution test image card is designed for rapid evaluation (mainly visual evaluation) of the transmission characteristics of 4K ultra high definition TV cameras.

Introduction to 4K (UHD TV) Resolution Test Picture Card

The TE279 test card has a gray background (D=0.75; transmittance=18%) with a large white circle in the middle, inside which gray bars and resolution wedge lines are distributed. On both sides of the middle circle, there are four small circles with resolution wedge-shaped lines arranged.

16: The format of 9 is indicated by four arrows located on the horizontal and vertical centerline. In addition, at the top and bottom edges of the image, four arrows near the circle indicate a 4:3 format.

There are 11 grayscale bars in each of the four directions of the white circle. These grayscale bars grow at equal linear distances from D=0.15 to D=1.65, used to test the camera's half tone reproducibility. However, due to the surrounding white area, the test results will be of higher quality.

All frequency values on the resolution test card are represented in cph (the number of lines per unit image height). In the central circle, there are three wedge-shaped lines with different frequencies of resolution arranged horizontally and vertically. Their frequencies range from 200 to 500, 400 to 1000, 800 to 2000 cph, respectively. Additionally, the frequency of the two resolution wedge-shaped lines intersecting at a 45 degree angle ranges from 400 to 1000 cph.

There are four line grating squares on the center and left and right sides of the resolution test card, with tilt angles of 0 °, 45 °, 90 °, and 135 °, respectively. They generated a frequency of 400 cph. The line grating grids with tilt angles of 45 ° and 135 ° generate different frequencies in the horizontal and vertical directions (due to their inclination).

The eight small circles outside the central circle are arranged for 16:9 and 4:3 formats, respectively. The larger circles have cross shaped resolution wedge-shaped lines. These circles are used to indicate the resolution in both horizontal and vertical directions, and can also be used to detect geometric distortions. It can display resolutions of 400, 600, 800, 1200, and 1600 cph respectively. The four circles located in the corners have longer resolution wedge-shaped lines, with their intersection at 640 cph and marked with scales ranging from 400 to 1600 cph.

In the middle of the test card, there are seven bar element diagrams arranged in the white and gray areas, with lengths of 1 (=half the height of the image), 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64 cph in sequence. There are 5 additional short bars on the vertical grayscale bar from left to right, ranging from 100 to 900 and from 200 to 1800 cph.
