GPS828 is developed with corresponding functions based on the NXP platform. The external interface of the terminal is only configured with 2 RS485 or RS232 interfaces, so the terminal can only be equipped with up to 2 types of bus type accessories at the same time (supporting the combination of two different bus type accessories according to specific needs)

3.1 GPS828 Wiring Diagram


3.2 GPS828 Debugging Process
3.2.1 Vehicle wiring
According to the wire information defined in Figures 4.1 and 4.2, connect the signal that needs to be connected to the corresponding signal wire of the vehicle. The red power positive, black power negative, and white ACC wires in the 6-core power cord are mandatory connections, and other signals should be connected according to customer requirements. Connect the GSM antenna and GPS antenna.
3.2.2 SIM card installation
Open the back panel of the terminal, insert the prepared SIM card into the SIM card slot, and then confirm that the SIM card buckle is in place. Please ensure that the SIM card has enabled GPRS function in advance and know the SIM card number.
3.2.3 Wiring and powering on
After completing the above tasks, the corresponding connecting wires can be connected to the corresponding interface of the terminal to power on the terminal. Observing the LCD screen or LED lights, after the terminal is powered on normally, the battery switch can be adjusted to the ON position to ensure that the built-in battery is available.
3.2.4 Parameter Setting
1. Local machine number setting
Note: If the terminal has a built-in ID number (with an 11 digit ID number label attached to the terminal interface), there is no need to set the local ID number, skip this step.
For example, if the terminal SIM card number is:, use LCD or mobile phone to write: * 77 * # and send it to the terminal. The terminal will reply with 'Success', indicating successful setting.
2. IP port settings
For example, if the client's server IP is 119.155.40.64 and port number is 8881, then use LCD or mobile phone to write: * 88 * 1119155040064 * 8881 #. The terminal will reply: success, then the setting is successful.
3. TCP/UDP connection mode settings
For example, the client's server IP is 119.155.40.64 and port number is 8881. If it is a TCP connection method, use LCD or mobile phone to write: * 88 * 1119155040064 * 8881 * 1 #; If it is a UDP connection method, write: * 88 * 1119155040064 * 8881 * 0 #. The terminal will reply: success, then the setting is successful.
4.2.5 Terminal Debugging
After completing the above parameter settings, the terminal can connect to the client server and then observe the LCD screen to see if the corresponding information exists and is correct. After confirming that all information is correct, the terminal can be installed and secured.

1 [Positioning Function]
1.1 Positioning Monitoring
Including functions such as timed feedback, blind spot compensation, speed and mileage statistics, and area monitoring,The system issues positioning instructions, and the terminal sends back data containing longitude, latitude, speed, direction, and status information.
1.2 Regular monitoring
The car GPS terminal can set a certain time or time period, or at certain time intervals, to send the vehicle's location and status information to the monitoring center.
1.3 Blind Spot Compensation
When entering the GPRS blind spot, the terminal will save trajectory data at a minimum interval of 30 seconds, and upload the blind spot data to the platform when GPRS is re launched. Up to 7000 blind spot compensation data can be saved.
1.4 Curve compensation
When the vehicle enters a bend, if the terminal detects a certain angle deviation in the driving direction (default 30 degrees), it will add a timed feedback message to ensure a more accurate driving trajectory.
1.5 Base station positioning
The terminal defaults to using GPS positioning. When GPS enters a blind spot and cannot accurately locate, the terminal automatically switches to base station positioning. The terminal obtains base station information every 30 seconds and uploads it. The specific location is parsed by the server.
2、 [Alarm Function]
2.1 Emergency alarm
Including host fault prompts, emergency assistance, main power failure prompts, access range prompts, etc. After pressing the concealed installation alarm button, the monitoring center immediately receives vehicle alarm information, mainly used for vehicle anti-theft, emergency needs and other operations.
2.2 Overspeed alarm and low-speed alarm
When the vehicle speed exceeds the overspeed alarm value, the onboard terminal will notify the monitoring center. Similarly, when the vehicle speed is below the low-speed alarm value, a low-speed alarm will be reported to the monitoring center. The alarm value can be set.
2.3 Main power failure alarm
When the main battery of the vehicle is damaged or unable to provide power, the built-in backup power supply can maintain the system's continued operation and send a power failure alarm to the monitoring center.
2.4 Displacement alarm
The terminal supports setting displacement alarm function and setting displacement radius. After turning off the engine for 10 seconds, it automatically enters the displacement detection state. If the terminal moves out of the boundary in the off state, it will report a displacement alarm. This function is turned off by default at the factory and can be enabled via SMS.
2.5 Low voltage alarm
When the battery voltage in the car is too low (0-10V or 15-20V), the onboard terminal reports a low voltage alarm to the monitoring center and cuts off the main power supply to protect the battery.
3、 Intelligent Function
3.1 Heartbeat feedback
The GPS car terminal can set a timed heartbeat feedback time. If no other information is sent during this period, a heartbeat feedback message will be sent to the monitoring center to keep the terminal online in real time.
3.2 Intelligent self check
The vehicle terminal can perform self diagnosis, and once a fault occurs, it will send a fault notification to the center, such as GPS, GSM, etc., and automatically take relevant measures. The monitoring center can also query the current model, version, configuration, operating status, and device functions of the terminal.
3.3 Intelligent remote control
Remote control of vehicle locking, unlocking, and resolving terminal abnormal states through the central systemAfter receiving instructions, the onboard terminal will perform corresponding operations on the vehicle's circuit or oil system, and send a power-off/oil confirmation message back to the center, while also uploading the current vehicle status. Once the vehicle receives the command to disconnect the electric/oil circuit, the onboard terminal will remember the status until the center issues a recovery command.
3.4 Emergency Monitoring
When the monitoring center receives an emergency alarm, it can activate the monitoring function to monitor the situation inside the vehicle.
3.5 Mileage Statistics
The vehicle mileage data is transmitted back to the monitoring center along with the vehicle positioning data; The initial mileage can be set during vehicle installation.
3.6 Remote Settings
Set various parameters of the terminal remotely through the central system, including IP, center number, various monitoring parameters, etc.
3.3.7 Car battery protection
The host has high and low voltage protection, main power reverse connection protection, power-saving status, etc., which can ensure that the car battery will not be affected or damaged by the host.

7 [Oil level detection function]
The terminal can transmit the real-time fuel consumption value of the vehicle to the backend center system, which will process it and provide detailed fuel consumption information and curves, as well as record refueling and fuel theft records. At the same time, the terminal can automatically detect abnormal decreases and increases in vehicle fuel levels, and transmit real-time data to the backend central system for monitoring.
7.1 Voltage type oil level sensor
The terminal can be connected to an external voltage type fuel level sensor or the original vehicle fuel level signal line to detect the fuel level value of the vehicle.
7.2 Capacitive oil level sensor
The terminal can be connected to an external capacitive fuel sensor to detect the real-time fuel level of the vehicle. The capacitive oil level sensor can choose RS485 interface or RS232 interface.
7.3 Ultrasonic oil level sensor
The terminal can be connected to an external ultrasonic fuel sensor to detect the real-time fuel level of the vehicle; The main characteristics of ultrasonic oil level sensors are easy installation and maintenance, and no need for drilling.
8 [Forward and Reverse Rotation Detection]
For the application of concrete mixer trucks, the terminal can be externally connected with forward and reverse sensors to detect the three states of forward rotation, reverse rotation, and stop rotation of the mixer truck. The terminal can upload real-time forward and reverse status, making it convenient for managers to monitor the usage of vehicles. For operations that do not follow the prescribed time and location, real-time awareness can be obtained to prevent violations. 9 [Security Function]
The terminal has security alarm function and supports original vehicle anti-theft. Need to connect the ACC, vehicle alarm horn, and door edge lines. The terminal detects the above three vehicle signals. When ACC is closed, doors are closed, and there is no alarm signal, the terminal automatically enters the defense state after 20 seconds. When ACC is open or the door is open, and the terminal does not detect an alarm signal within 5 seconds, the terminal will be disarmed.
