Plastic freezing tubes are transparent or semi transparent, easy to observe, and have low hardness. Samples can be removed by puncture method.

Most plastic cryovials come with caps to prevent sample leakage, and the caps also prevent sample evaporation. Laboratory micro freezing analysis is used.
